I wasn't going to post about this because it made me sad every time I thought about it. But now that it has been over a month since Brian's dad's funeral, I look back and see it differently. I feel more peace now. I had the pleasure of knowing Lynn for the past 16 years and he was a great example to me. He struggled with Parkinson's disease and never complained. He loved his wife and his kids more than anything in the world. He knew the church was true and had a strong testimony. He made me laugh with his funny food concoctions, the way he smirked, and the way he played with his grand kids. What a great example he is to me and I miss him.
One of the other things that I took notice of during the funeral week, was the strength of my mother in law. Oh to be half as strong as her... She still only thought of others, how she could serve people in need, and kept on thanking Heavenly Father for her many blessings. She is someone I look up to and aspire to be more like. I love you Sharon and am thankful for your great example.
