Harvest Hoedown

Last night our family went to our wards Harvest Hoedown! We ate yummy chili and pies, played games with the kids, and then went Trunk or Treating. Evan was old enough this year to really get into it. We had a great family night together.

Jacob had been a character from Star Wars for the past couple of years, but really wanted to be Harry Potter this time. I think he made a really cute Harry! I loved the glasses on him!

My mom and I made Dillon's Pac-Man costume. He is continuing his retro kick. (Last year he was Jerry from Tom and Jerry.) He tends to like the older cartoons and characters.

Courtney was a very cute black cat. She wanted to be some kind of animal this year. I think it stems from her love for Littlest Pet Shops. She went around meowing and scratching everyone.

Evan started out just being a chef, but when we added Remy the rat from Ratatouille, he turned into Linguini the chef! Everyone loved his costume and commented on how cute he was in his hat! My mom made the cute oven mitts that went with it and Evan loved having them on!

My birthday

Yesterday was my birthday! I had a great day! It started out with Brian making French toast for breakfast! Yummy! Then Brian gave me a Garmin Nuvi for the van. He always picks out the best gifts and knows that I tend to get lost pretty often. It will come in so handy! The kids were so sweet and bought be some gorgeous fall flowers. Brian took the day off of work so I could go to lunch with my best friend and do some shopping. I have the best husband ever! That night Brian and the kids made me spaghetti for dinner and cupcakes for dessert. We also played out in the leaves together until it got too cold. I had a great day that I will always remember! Thank you everyone!

A great day for the zoo

The kids and I (minus Jacob) went to the Denver zoo today. It was very crowded, but we still had a nice time. The kids were so well behaved! I kept telling them on the way home how great they acted and how we should do more fun things together. Love my kids!

I love scouts!

For quite some time now Dillon has been wanting to join Scouts and now the wait is finally over! For his first den meeting, he went to the town hall and had a tour. He even got to sit in one of the trustee's chairs and put a "vote" through. He loved it and can't wait to go back!

Dillon turns 8!

Dillon just turned 8 last Friday!

Top 5 reasons why I love Dillon:

1. He still likes to snuggle me.
2. He says he loves my cooking!
3. He tells me funny jokes.
4. He loves chocolate as much as I do.
5. He tells me he loves me every day.
