Our trip started out by stopping in St George which is a little over halfway to our destination. We stayed at a nice hotel and the kids were excited to get out of the van and swim!
Sunday was Mother's Day and we were so glad to be in California! They had some pretty rose gardens that we walked through and I had to have a picture with my sweet kids!
Monday: Started off in California Adventure. We took Evan on Soarin' over California and he loved it! He was so happy to be over the 42" requirement that alot of the "bigger" rides have! He also rode Grizzly River Rapids and Tower of Terror! He would have ridden California Screamin' if we would have let him! We spent most of the day in that park, but did end up going to Disneyland for a little Astro Blasters at the end of the day!
Tuesday: Went to Disneyland and spent alot of the day in Toontown just exploring. Then we went on the new It's a Small World ride. It was neat to try to find all the new characters they have added! That afternoon, Brian's sister Stephanie and her kids came down and also his sister Lauri and we hung out at California Adventure the rest of the evening. I loved having Brian's family there! They are so much fun!
Wednesday: We flipped flopped between the parks. We rode the new Toy Story Mania ride and loved it! One of our new favorites for sure! The kids looked so cute in their 3D glasses! Courtney also rode California Screamin' (the big roller coaster that goes upside-down for those who don't know) She loved it and rode a few more times on our trip!
Thursday: Spent the whole day at Disneyland. We saw the live show called "Bill Hill and the Hillbillies" and it was great! The picture above is for you Marna! He was hilarious! Another highlight of the day was Space Mountain! We rode that over and over again! I just love the picture we got. Courtney cracks me up! That girl is not afraid of anything!
Friday: Even though we only spent a few hours at the parks today, I was so glad we decided to go because I took one of my favorite pictures from the whole trip! My kids had went to get their picture taken with Mickey and when they were done, Evan ran back and reached up, put his arms around his neck and gave him a big kiss! Totally worth it! It was the cutest and of course Mickey kissed him back. :) Courtney also got a picture with her favorite Tinkerbell... She was in heaven! One more thing I would like to mention... Our family went on Splash Mountain alot and now they have made a new rule that an adult must sit in the front of the car. Somehow it always ended up being me and I was drenched almost every day were were here! What's up with that?
The last few days of our trip we spent in California with one set of cousins and then drove to Utah and spent a couple days with another set of cousins. Wish I would have taken more pictures! Man! Guess we were having too much fun! Brian has some great family on his side and it was fun to spend time with all of them!
