Alot like Dairy Queen...



My kids have been asking to go to Dairy Queen alot this summer... They love the blizzards and who can blame them really? I told them that DQ can be expensive and we already have ice cream in the freezer. (They didn't like that answer of course.) So on Friday I came up with a plan that made everyone happy! I took them all to Safeway where candy bars were on sale for 50 cents each. They picked out their favorite kind and then we came home and made our own blizzards! They loved them and thought it was fun activity and treat!

DQ blizzards for all of them = around $14
Ice cream + candy bars (made mom's way and alot bigger I might add) = $4

Same result! Happy kids with ice cream treats on a hot day!

I need to do that for my kids! Our ice cream goes bad in the freezer cuz we never eat it so maybe that would get it gone! Your so fun!

That is a great idea too!! You are so creative! I just might eat the candy before it gets home though...
