Did someone say 60?

My mom is turning 60 in a few days, so my sister Leah and I decided it would be fun to wrap up 60 gifts individual gifts to give to her! (My mom is always doing something clever like this for my kid's birthdays...) We filled 60 identical containers with all kinds of my mom's favorite things like gift certificates to her favorite fast food restaurants, her favorite snacks, lotions, jewelry that Leah made, money, and a few funny gag gifts too! I think she got a kick out of it! She is a pretty good sport thank goodness!  Here are some pictures from that night:
(Note, the little picture in the bottom right corner is not my mom's teeth... We were being silly one day! I hope she doesn't hate me for posting that one, but it was too funny not to share!)

Party time!

My baby boy turned 6 years old! We had some family over for pizza, birthday bingo, and Oreo cake and ice cream. He got some neat gifts like a new Mickey mouse watch, a Leapster game, Legos, paint, colored pencils, puzzles, money, and more! I'd say he was pretty spoiled. :) In alot of ways he seems older than 6, but most of the time I just wish he could always be this age. I love him to pieces!!!

I smell something funny...

My sister Leah brought these cups over to Evan's party and we had alot of fun with them as you can see! Some of us had mustaches, nose rings, lipstick and extra large schnoz's for the night! These pictures just crack me up when I see them! We took alot of funny pictures, but these were my favorites!

Courtney's showcase!

Courtney's showcase was so much fun! She sang, played the xylophone and played her recorder! She has been practicing her recorder alot at home and it has paid off! She is really quite good at it! I love watching her perform. She always has the cutest expressions and is so entertaining!

Birthday getaway

I surprised Brian this year for his 40th birthday and took him up to the mountains! We stayed in a nice little cabin at the top of Estes Park. It was perfect!
Here is my handsome birthday boy by the fire:
For dinner, we ate at a great restaurant that had the best barbequed pork! Yum!
For his birthday present, I bought him a new wedding ring since the Pacific Ocean had taken his the last time we were in California. It fit great and he loved it!
I was so happy that I could go on this little getaway with Brian. It was a nice break from every day life! Thanks to the Lowry's for watching our kids while we were gone! We appreciate you guys!
