Pinewood Derby Day!

Pinewood Derby time is here again! Dillon and Brian had spent most of the week before the race sanding it smooth, painting it, and adding weights. When Brian asked Dillon whether he wanted a fast car or a cool car, Dillon chose fast and boy was it fast! He took first place overall! We have raced a few times before, but never have won first place! We were excited! Brian is the Cubmaster this year and he did a great job handing out the awards to the boys. Thanks to Grandma & Grandpa K for coming and supporting their grandson! It was a fun family day and there were alot of great looking cars this year!

 Somehow Jacob convinced Courtney and Evan to lay down under the swing set in the backyard so he could bury them with gravel. Nice.... They didn't seem to mind however and I saw the end result and had to take a picture. When they came inside, they were covered in dirt, rocks were in every pocket and crease, and they smelled horrible! They found it all to be very funny! They went straight to the bath and I just laughed remembering what it was like to be a kid. And yes, I found little pebbles in the dryer for the next few days!

2 in one day!

 Yes, 2 of my kids learned how to ride their bikes on the same day! It was an exciting time at our house this morning! We have been going outside and practicing after school on the side street, but today they took off on their own! I am so proud of them for practicing and learning something new!

Our new fun place!

Today I took Evan to the gymnastics room in our town and he really loved it! What a fun environment for kids his age to run and play and get some energy out! We will be going back whenever we get the chance! Glad I found out about this great place!

"Party Rock" cupcakes

My 2 little sisters just celebrated their birthdays this past weekend by having a "Party Rock" theme. It is a whole lot of neon colors and bold patterns! I made the cupcakes and then they came to my house to decorate them for the party! Here is the result! "WOW".... is all I can say!
